Coffee Recipe: French Press

Preparation: Measure 60 grams, or just under 1/2 cup of coffee beans. Grind coffee beans coarsely. Measure 900 grams of water, or around 4 cups. Heat water to 200 degrees. To estimate temperature, bring water to boil and then remove from heat for 60 seconds. Instructions: Add ground coffee to french press. Pour 200g, or about 1 cup, of water. Stir to ensure grounds are evenly wet. Pour the rest of the water. Let coffee steep for 4-5 minutes and stir. Place lid and plunger, and then press slowly. Enjoy your coffee!

Coffee Recipe: Aeropress

Preparation: Measure 17 grams, or around 2 tablespoons of coffee beans Grind coffee beans to a size similar of kosher salt. Measure 250 grams of water, or a little more than 1 cup. Heat to 200 degrees. To estimate temperature, bring water to boil and then remove from heat for about 60 seconds. Instructions: Place filter in brewer, wet filter, and empty vessel. Add ground coffee. Pour 250g of water, or up to (4) on the Aeropress, within 30 seconds. Stir three times. Place plunger carefully in the brewer, and pull up slightly, creating a seal to keep coffee from dripping through. Wait 20-30 seconds, depending on your preference of brew strength. Push plunger down slowly, for 30-40 seconds. Enjoy your coffee!

Coffee Recipe: Chemex

  Preparation: Measure 50 grams, or around 8 tablespoons of coffee beans Grind coffee beans to a size similar of kosher salt. Measure 750 grams of water, or about 26.5 oz. Heat to 207 degrees. To estimate temperature, bring water to boil and then remove from heat for 30-40 seconds. Instructions: Place filter in brewer, wet filter, and empty vessel. Add ground coffee. Tare scale, if using. Pour 100g of water, or enough to soak the grounds, and let bloom for about 45 seconds. Stir 3-4 times. Starting in the center, steadily pour in spirals out to the edge of your brewer, without touching the filter, and back. At this point, adding 400g of water.  Continue pouring slowly and gently in the center...

Coffee Recipe: Single Cup Pour Over

Preparation: Measure 24 grams, or around 3 tablespoons of coffee beans Grind coffee beans to a size similar of beach sand. Measure 340 grams of water, or 12oz. Heat to 207f (97c) degrees. To estimate temperature, bring water to boil and then remove from heat for 30-40 seconds. Instructions: Place filter in brewer and wet filter. Add ground coffee. Pour 50g of water, or enough to soak the grounds, and let bloom for about 45 seconds. Stir 3-4 times.  Starting in the center, steadily pour in spirals out to the edge of your brewer, without touching the filter, and back. Ultimately adding all 340g of water.  Give a gentle stir around edge of brewer without touching the filter. Your coffee should finish around 2:30-3:00...
