This coffee comes from Edilma Lopez's farm, La Estoraque. She, her sister, and her father have produced coffee for some time and have been finalists in Colombia's Cup of Excellence, however this is the first purchase from Edilma for this importer, Shared Source. Edilma inherited this plot of land from her family, located in Buesaco, in the department of Nariño, at around 2100m (6890 feet).
Why We Like This Coffee
This coffee stood out to us on the cupping table with full-bodied notes of black cherry and molasses. I've wanted to work with Shared Source when starting Embrace because I respect how they purchase green coffee and why they do it that way—working with smaller producers, seeking high quality coffee, and paying fairly for it.
What You Can Expect
A total wallop of coffee in your cup. Full-bodied and rich with molasses-like sweetness, a smooth and crisp acidity balanced with candy bar finish.
Please enjoy notes of black cherry, molasses, and hazelnut spread.
